SHE & Rights ahead of CSW70 and International Women's Day


Next SHE & Rights session will be held on 26th February 2026, Thursday, ahead of International Women’s Day (8th March) and 70th Session of the UN Commission on Status of Women or CSW70 (9-19 March) as well as during the intergovernmental Asia Pacific People’s Forum on Sustainable Development and intergovernmental APFSD (Thailand).

This session would also feature highlights/ analysis from few important meetings held this month, including APFSD Youth Forum, APFSD People's Forum, and the 1st Intergovernmental Working Group (IGWG) meet to draft a legally binding instrument for promotion and protection of the rights of older persons (18-20 February 2026).

This SHE & Rights session also marks 20th anniversary of Universal Periodic Review (UPR).

Journalists reporting on issues raised by SHE & Rights are welcome to apply for 3rd Edition of SHE & Rights Media Awards 2026. Hybrid award ceremony would be held around Women Deliver Conference 2026.

This SHE & Rights session is together hosted by Women’s Rights Caucus, Fos Feminista, Global Center for Health Diplomacy and Inclusion (CeHDI), Women Deliver Conference 2026, International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR), Asia Pacific Media Alliance for Health, Gender and Development Justice (APCAT Media), Development Justice for Older Persons (DJOP) and CNS.
